Our second visit to Mista was for a family dinner. Our party's dietary preferences include on vegan. We love that Prathik and his team were able to detail the various options for all of us. We love the food and overall experience. If there is one improvement to suggest..it is that the chairs could do with an extra cushion to compensate for the higher table.

We finally made our way to Mishta, and I’m sorry it took so long! The farm to table motif for an Indian restaurant was new to us so we were eager to try. The Country Chicken Masala was unique in flavor and the quality of the meat was evident with every bite! With so many Indian restaurants openly in the area, I give my full throated endorsement to Mishta!! BYOB as well. Owner was super nice and we’ll be back to try some seafood offerings expected in the summer!

Recently went to Mishta and tried their Valentine's day pre fix menu. We had a wonderful experience. Mishta is an intimate spot and Parthiv Buch is a creative chef. He accommodated our request on the day and provided an extra vegetarian option, which was much appreciated. The food was impeccable and we were thoroughly impressed. Rarely does a high-end Indian restaurant in NJ meet all the criteria - taste, value and service. The food was bustling with flavor and the service was thoughtful. Very impressed with the quantity of food for the price for a pre-fix menu. We look forward to coming back to experience Chef Parthiv's creativity!

Good concept of farm to table for Indian food. Menu is simple making it easy to decide. BYOB. Appetizers and main course was delicious. Desserts not that good.

Excellent food and service. The chef / owner chatted with us and had great recommendations. Here are the items we tried and enjoyed all: Chandni chowk ki tikki chaat, salmon tikka, paneer ke sule, shaadiwala kaju khoya matter, dal makhani, butter chicken, garlic naan, lacha paratha.

Great evening dinning at Mishta Indian Restaurant at Hillsborough. Fresh from farm, everything made fresh. All vegetarian dishes were amazing, esp paneer tikka, tikka chaat, gajar halwa was unique. Chef Paarthic was very nice and hunkering, spend time with us about his journey to become Chef and why it inspire him to made everything fresh . #foodielife #vegetarian #indiancuisine #foodblogger

Mishta really stands out as hidden gem. You can actually taste the quality. Fresh paneer made in-house built from scratch and their grass-fed lamb chops are amazing!!! It comes through in the depth of flavor. The gravies are bold and stand out, the spices are balanced, and nothing tastes like it came from a premade base. The Kerala Crab Sukka was a highlight, perfectly spiced with a coastal punch you rarely find in Jersey. The Litti Chokha brought real Bihari flavors, rustic and smoky. And the Kasundi Salmon Tikka had a mustard kick that cut through beautifully. Even the chaat felt different — lighter, more layered than the usual heavy-handed versions. Had a chance to meet Chef Buch, got to learn about his focus on regional dishes and royal kitchen recipes that you won't find at most Indian restaurants. There's a refinement to the cooking without losing the soul of the food. If you care about what goes into your plate and want Indian food that actually tastes like someone cooked it with intention, Mishta delivers!!!!

Had the pleasure of dining here for lunch today, and honestly — what a treat! 🙌 We started with the chicken starter, and it set the bar high right from the first bite. The meat was incredibly fresh, the seasoning was spot-on, and the flavors were bold without being overwhelming. Exactly the kind of opener that gets you excited for the main course. The star of the meal, though, was the Delhi-style Butter Chicken — and I mean Delhi-style in the truest sense. Rich, velvety gravy with that perfect balance of spices, creaminess, and depth that you just can’t fake. It tasted like it came straight out of a home kitchen in Old Delhi. Absolutely flawless. 🧡 To round it all out, the Naan and Roti were freshly made — soft, warm, and perfectly puffed. The kind of bread that makes you want to order one more just to soak up every last drop of that butter chicken gravy. The food here is a genuine celebration of Indian flavors done right — fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and clearly a kitchen that takes pride in its craft. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, lunch here is time (and money) very well spent. Will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend. 🌟🍽️

We tried Misha for the first time and it exceeded our expectations! Food tasted fresh and flavorful, and the menu was unique with its multi-regional cuisine. Highly recommend the chicken biryani! The chef personally spoke with us about their farm-to-table philosophy and his story behind opening the restaurant, which added a genuine, personal touch to our experience. The only suggestion for improvement I would mention is that a few of the menu items were not available, including all of the listed desserts. They gave us 2 dessert options, and the black carrot halwa we got (recommended by the chef) was very good. I wish the team at Mishta all the best in their success, and we will come back again soon!
